Copywriter. Editor. Your right-hand scribe.
Karin grew up along the Lake Michigan shoreline, the product of a small farming community. An athlete, musician, thespian, and Tetris master, she graduated Valedictorian of her high school class before earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Hillsdale College.
A life-long reader and writer, Karin wrote a novel in 2007 after her husband’s cancer diagnosis. As she pursued publication she realized the truth—she knew nothing about the publishing industry. That realization started a five-year education that birthed a love for writing and editing. Along the way she met copywriting, and she was hooked.
Karin fell for copywriting before copywriting was cool—she actually had years of experience without even realizing she was writing copy. When she finally started studying it, she knew she’d found her passion. Combining her fiction-writing flair with a knack for professional copy, Karin’s able to create pointed yet professional copy that gets the job done.
To keep herself up-to-date and educated in the publishing world—so she can provide the best content possible for her clients—she’s an active member in multiple professional organizations*:
- American Christian Writers Association
- Christian Proofreaders and Editors Network
- American Christian Fiction Writers Association
- American Writers & Artists Inc.
Now residing in beautiful northern Michigan, Karin continues to enjoy the Lake Michigan shoreline with her husband, two cats, and dog (none of whom enjoy the water quite as much as she does).
*Though her professional affiliations are with Christian organizations, Karin’s experience includes multiple genres and markets.
